Job holders are responsible of planning, controlling and managing the project's activities as well as the related resources to meet the project's objectives in terms of quality, cost and time.
This role involves a high level of leadership skills with a great emphasis on maximizing the project's profitability.
Furthermore, job holders should have a great emphasis on decision making, proactive problem solving and results driven approach.

1. Review, adjust and validate the project's baseline schedule and budget, follow-up on the work progress and relevant cost and take appropriate measures to meet the project's objectives.
2. Assess the project's needs and set a strategy for the proper provision and management of resources.
3. Coordinate with the project's section managers to make sure all prerequisite requirements (documents, resources, etc...) are ensured on time and that the workflow is well organized.
4. Pick-up the most suitable work methodologies after consulting concerned person, oversee the execution of work on the project's site, intervene whenever needed.
5. Review QA/QC reports as well as the client/consultant's observations, discuss findings with relevant persons and make sure the work is executed in compliance with relevant designs/specifications/standards and quality requirements.
6. Approve and validate operations that stipulate additional cost on the project, verify the work/products/services of external providers and take appropriate.
7. Collects metrics data (such as baseline, actual values for costs, delays, work completed, productivity, etc...), identify and analyze deviations, reports on the project's performance and progress and develop action plans.
8. Manage proactively all contractual matters related to the project, negotiate variations/changes and get internal technical support.
9. Supervise the timely production, submission and reception of documents/reports and make sure appropriate follow-up is made by concerned parties.
10. Overview the proper application of the document control activity and make sure all data are entered systematically on BIS to ensure full traceability of the project's activities and avoid any loss/deterioration of relevant documents/records.
11. Identify and analyze project's related problems, assess relevant risks and prepare mitigation plans.
12. Organize regular/periodic meetings with the project's staff, communicate targets, discuss problems and review the work progress and challenges.
13. Oversee the proper implementation of policies and procedures (including safety) to ensure conformity on the project's site.
14. Liaise with external parties on any matter relevant to the project, discuss it internally if needed, and develop communication strategies.
15. Lead and motivate people, drive them towards successful achievements, provide coaching and support when needed and create a strong team spirit culture to boost internal productivity.
16. Manage individual performance, identify internal talents and coordinate with concerned parties to develop employees' potential.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager - Qatar, the Financial Controller will be responsible for all aspects of financial planning, budgeting and decisions for the WHSmith business in Qatar. This position will also have line management responsibility for an Accountant Clerk.

The Accountabilities

• Production of monthly P&L, balance sheets and cashflow for WHSmith Qatar and ensuring all UK reporting requirements are met

Position Summary


Provides high level support to the Clinical Curriculum Administrator and the Department of Medical Education in planning, coordinating and implementing the Clinical Curriculum at WCMCQ. Provides administrative coverage for the Clinical Curriculum in the absence of the Clinical Curriculum Administrator.

Position Activities

* 1. Assists the clinical course and clerkship directors, and other faculty at WCMC-Q and its affiliated curricular sites in planning and implementing the clinical courses and clerkships based at WCMC-Q, at Hamad Medical Corporation HMC and other health care affiliates. Liaises with the staff of the Office of Curriculum and Educational Development OCED at the NY campus to acquire course material. Assembles and distributes course material which includes schedules, syllabi, lecture handouts and reading material.
* 2. Liaises with clinical course and clerkship directors, staff and other faculty at WCMCQ and affiliated curricular sites to plan individual clinical courses and clerkships. Assists the Clinical Curriculum Administrator with creation, publication, and maintenance of individual clerkship schedules.
* 3. Prepares and collects student assessment forms from on-site and affiliated faculty. Complies student assessment data, including final grade forms, and presents this data to course and clerkship directors for review, editing and approval, and timely submission to the registrar.
* 4. Responsible for handling all of the arrangements for specific clerkships, electives and or subinternships in Doha.
* 5. Assists the Clinical Curriculum Administrator with making course material available to both faculty and students on line.
* 6. Liaises with staff and faculty at WCMCQ, HMC and other affiliated health care sites in Qatar.
* 7. Assists with the management of logistical arrangements for all oral and written examinations, including National Board of Medical Examiners NBME shelf examinations for the Clinical Clerkships.
* 8. Assists with the preparation of materials for the Clinical Curriculum Committee and provides support as required.
* 9. Maintains strict confidentiality and security of all student and faculty related information. Performs other job related duties as required.
* 10. As required, provides supports for projects relating to the Department of Medical Education, including assisting with the proctoring of exams.

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Student Recruitment Director, the Student Recruitment Officer contributes to and supports the planning and development of strategies regarding student recruitment, and will also be involved in organizing and conducting field visitations and campus tours. The Officer will visit high schools and give Admissions presentations, distribute and present promotional materials, discuss campus information with counselors, students and parents, collect information needed from students to answer inquiries concerning academic offerings and collect pertinent information concerning visits. The Officer will also arrange and conduct workshops, seminars, and conferences and advise students concerning curriculum and career opportunities, and assist students in advising and applying for the Precollege Programs. The Student Recruitment Officer will have extensive contact with high school officials, students and university personnel.

POSITION ACTIVITIES

1- Represents the college during school visits, open days, building tours, recruitment workshops, fairs, events and prospective students counseling in different on and off campus settings. Participates as a team member in planning such events.
2- Provides initial counseling to students and parents, and responds to queries from walk-ins, emails and/or phone calls and during outreach and recruitment activities.
3- Implement communication plans, databases. and procedure manuals, ensuring compliance, maintenance and consistency in each area of operations.
4- Compiles reports regarding student recruitment programs as requested and reports on school visits and open days.
5- Helps in organizing outreach and recruitment activities of the office and related logistics, such as students' handbooks, presentations, room bookings and other related tasks.

• Supporting Technical Manager getting the project plan.
• Recording project actual progress in terms of budget and plan.
• Handling planning of the work and material to meet the client's requirements.
• Performing calculation of detailed man-hours, machine hours and utilization schedules.
• Analyzing each project critical path and managing it.
• Identifying the best series of events in the correct order for the project to finish on time and on budget.
• Maintaining weekly look-ahead programs while recording potential problems and any deviations from contracted plan to the Technical Manager.
• Preparing recovery program to catch up delays and generating cost forecasts and cost trending reports to ensure budget adherence.
• Ensuring that the achieved progress on the project fits the progress anticipated in the schedule.
• Ensuring that all resources are used cohesively to achieve a common aim, with respect to the client requests and Gulf Industries goals.
• Ensuring that weekly/monthly efficiency reports are produced and maintained.
• Monitoring efficiency and advising project cost and planning of shortcomings.
